Something in the water

There must be something in the water at the moment as once again I am blogging about friends of ours being pregnant. It was a good day when after texting Deano the State of Origin result, which Queensland won obviously that he broke the news that Ingrid is indeed pregnant. A huge congratulations to the both of you and Sarah and I wish you both well as you take the next step in becoming a family of three.
This brings the tally to 3 in 3 months as my sister Lauren is expecting her first along with friends of ours Ritchie and Caroldee also expecting their first. Must be the water.

In the meantime I will stay away from the water and raise a glass of Champagne to the three of you.

Home

Well after what was to short of a holiday Sar's and I are back in Oz after a wonderful two and a half weeks in the "Republic". There are many highlights of the trip which include obviously catching up with the family and meeting the twins for the first time. We also in the 2 weeks managed to get up to Hluwhluwe game reserve for a couple of days where we saw 4 of the BIG 5 along with Hippo, Giraffe, Hyena and loads of buck and Warthog, it was really a great feeling to be back in the African bush again.

Congratulations to Matt and Phil who's wedding we attended in Ballito, we thank you for a wonderful evening and still maintain that I have never seen shooters poured and drunk in that quantity EVER!

On our return Mom and Dad arranged a wedding reception for us which went down amazingly well. We had around 40 people of which a lot I hadn't seen for years. It was a super evening which ended at around 3am when on Royal Marine decided he had had enough vodka shot and it was time to RUN home. All of those present at 3am played golf on Saturday-needless to say the golf left a lot to be desired.

A few things never change at home which is why it is such a pleasure to visit. Stokers for one, monkeys in the garden, eating your meat straight off the fire when braaing, biltong though one of the events I really loved taking Sarah to was the Super 14 final where though the Sharks were robbed there is no better stadium to watch rugby in anywhere in the world.

Thanks to everyone who made our trip so enjoyably and we look forward to returning for another visit someday soon.
