The Ushering

With the festive season only 3 days away, 6 Carine court is gearing up for the 2nd Aussie Ushering party on the 1st of December. The numbers are up from last year from 10 to a probable 25 this year as friends gather in the colours of Christmas with compulsory hats to "Usher in" the festive season. This year looks to be good with the numbers and the fact that all who were here last year have been looking forward to this since July. The Christmas lights have been put all over the house in readiness for the big switch on at 7pm 1st December so things are looking really good for a fantastic festive season with lights, friends, pool, beer, cricket and a wedding near the end to cap it off. Bring it on the festive season....

One week from water

At this stage we are about 1 week away from having water in the pool, the fence has been approved, the plumbing is in and now we are waiting for the coping do be done! It only rains in Queensland when you are trying to get a pool built! Monday we should be having it pebbled followed by 50000 litres of water the following day. Time to start stocking the fridge with cans of beer as there will be a no glass in the pool area enforced by the house.

Pool taking Shape

Here is a picture of our pool slowly taking shape. Now we have to wait 3 weeks for the concrete to cure then they start to pebble and get the water in. Schweet
