Baggy Greens Win It

After a season of mixed results the Baggy Greens (my indoor cricket team) last night won our 1st division final. After finishing 3rd in the log due to some mediocre performances over the Xmas period we managed to sneak into the final through the back door having to earn our place through a series elimination matches, 3 in total on our way to the final. Once there we met a good quality team who we had played 3 times through the season having won one and lost 2 so it was always going to be a tight affair.
The final was pretty one sides after we made 144 in our 16 overs. We knew we had them when after 10 overs they had only 70 and after 12 were on 60, yes -10 runs between overs 8 and 10 (-5 runs every time you go out in indoor cricket). Overall it was a top performance by the boys and we look forward to defending our title as Premiers next season.

It makes me so proud to see members of the world's best cricket team, the on-and-one-halves, go on to reach further heights in far flung places of the world, whilst no doubt spreading the famous one-and-one-halves spirit.
